Pastor
Harry S Bohn, Jr., was born in Reading Pennsylvania and
graduated from Reading High School in
1965. He attended Albright College and
earned a Bachelors Degree in History. The Lutheran Theological
Seminary awarded Pastor Bohn a Master of Divinity Degree
in 1973. A son of St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church,
Reading, he had served as assistant pastor
at Alsace Lutheran Church, Hyde
Park, after his seminary graduation in 1973, before accepting
the call at St. John's. The Rev. Harry S. Bohn, Jr.,
began his ministry at Sinking Spring
November 15, 1984 with installation services
held December 9, 1984. Services were conducted by
Dr. Harold S. Weiss, Bishop of the
Northeastern Pennsylvania Synod. The Rev.
Harry S. Bohn Jr. is married to the former Carole E. Boltz.
The Pastor has served on the Christian Education Committee
of the Synod, been a member of the Synod Council, and is
former President of the West Berks District Pastoral and
AIMS Association. He has been instrumental in the growth
of the Lutheran Marriage Encounter movement in the county
and involved in a number of ecumenical programs. Pastor
Bohn's wife, Carole, is a Reference Librarian at Reading
Senior High School.

The Reverend Kim Kemmerling
Pastor
Kim Kemmerling grew up in Oregon and moved to Pennsylvania
her Senior year of high school. She graduated from Pacific
Lutheran University with a BA in History and Religion in 1994.
She attended the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia
and graduated in 2000 with a Masters of Divinity. She served
as Pastor of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Magnolia, NJ
from 2001 until she was called as the Assistant Pastor at
St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sinking Spring. She began
her ministry at St. John’s Christmas Eve of 2006 and
will be installed as Assistant Pastor of St. Johns on February
11, 2007 at 4 PM.
While living in NJ Pastor Kim became a foster parent and is
in the process of adopting her first child, Sierra. Pastor
Kim’s hobbies and interests include: soccer, biking,
traveling, photography, science fiction, and being with friends
and family.
